Galvanized Campus
Turkey IMSAD Eco-Friendly Materials and projected scope of work undertaken by the Sustainability Committee “Production-Use Cycle Course of Building Products” Stars in 2016 in cooperation with the University Technical – 2017 period continues. Asst. Assoc. Dr. Prof. Dilek Ekşi Akbulut at the Faculty of Architecture derste 22 November 2016, steel structures and iron-steel products to protect the corrosion of hot dip galvanized coating was told. Architectural students showed great interest in the course given by the Structural Steel Association (TUCSA) and General Galvanizers Association (GALDER).
TUCSA Board Member and at the same time Selçuk Özdil, Chairman of Environment Friendly Green Buildings Association, shared the importance of sustainable structures, steel structures and remarkable examples. After Özdil, GALDER Secretary General S. Burcu Akman made a presentation entitled “Sustainable Protection of Steel: Hot Dipping Galvanized”. Galvanized steel coating for explaining the importance and advantages of the architecture department students from Akman and Turkey also introduced the sample projects from around the world. Burcu Akman also cautioned that the galvanized steel freed the designer.
